Paid Apprenticeship Hourly

OBJECTIVE: Ascentec is a growing PCBA Tooling and Precision Machine shop, servicing High Tech industries, which is seeking 2 – 3 High School Senior students who are mechanically driven and commited to learn the trade skills while pursuing a 2-year CNC Machining or CNC Programming degree at a community college for the long term growth with the company!



·         Monday – Friday: 6:00AM – 2:30PM

·         Monday – Friday: 2:30PM – 11:00PM

·         Friday – Sunday: 6:00AM – 6:30PM

·         Modified Shifts Are Negotiable


JOB DESCRIPTION:  CNC set-up and run machinist apprentice for a state of the art, quick turn prototype, and low/mid-volume production machining organization


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  To include but not limited to the following:

·         Learn CNC setup and operation; load programs and set/adjust work/tool offsets accordingly. Haas, Fanuc and Okuma controls

·         Learn to read prints and inspect parts for conformance, typically +/- .005 tolerance

·         Learn to check parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges

JOB QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS: High School Seniors with the mechanical aptitude inclined or completed machinist program related courses referred

·         May on a continuous basis stand, walk, bend and lift up to 40 lbs.

·         Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate

·         Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed

·         Must be flexible to work perform limited part finishing and/or assembly as needed
