Would you like to be a member of a design team and bring product from concept to design through manufacturing? Do you enjoy bringing 2-D and 3-D geometry into a physical working part? If you have a strong mechanical aptitude, good visual skills, with attention to detail, we have a place for a motivated Design Intern to start a career in tooling design for the Electronics Assembly industry. $15 dollars per hour
Understanding of AutoCAD software with the ability to create working geometry.
Basic understanding of SolidWorks a plus
Work with the Design team to create prints of products ready to be moved into production.
Learn to use AutoCAD automation to work with design files and complete shop folders.
Ensure timely output of drawings for customer review and approval.
Actively maintain CAD block libraries to align with current processes.
Monitor and control email traffic for designs throughout the approval process.
Working with computer and file systems.
Learn the fundamentals of fixture design in order to be more efficient in above duties and progress to Designer Level 1
Visualize a concept from 2D to 3D.
Understanding and Working with Printed Circuit Board data.
Other tasks as defined by leadership.
Drafting technology knowledge with a proficiency in AutoCAD
